Who Am I?
Hey you!
Yeah you. Funny side note, that is what my older sisters would say, “yeah you” instead of “love you” when I was growing up.
Have you ever seen a wallet, a belt or book cover and wondered, who made that? Is it handmade? Where did the inspiration come from? What is involved in putting it all together? As somebody who loves working with my hands I know I often wonder about these things.
So here I aim to make these questions, along with added tidbits as they pop up, as transparent as possible in attached Blog Posts I have linked to each handmade leather item. I try and post at least once or twice every two weeks if time allows.
About me
I am Mitchell Johnson. The 4th oldest in a family of 9, I grow up around the sea and fell in love with sailing, even getting into teaching for a bit, and somehow found myself sucked into the backwoods around Prince George B.C. Canada truck driving so I get to see a lot of the surrounding area. Not much water for sailing up here! Am passionate about rock climbing and mountaineering, but I also enjoy a good book.
Ever since I got some leather from my grandpa when I was 12, I took up leather working as a hobby. I have been dabbling with leather projects over the years and still find it captivating… a creative outlet with endless possibilities.
I love the look and feel of leather; warm and cozy. The earthy smells transport me to a log cabin nestled in the woods.
Yup, I’m hooked for life!

I would like it noted that this site is entirely created and run by me along with the huge help and input of family and friends, and it turns out maintaining a website can be pretty time consuming so please bear with me and I apologize for any issue you may encounter 🙂
